Digital Film Editing
One of the original motivations for creating this site back in 2001 was to showcase my digital film editing projects. This section is an archive of those high school projects done from 2002-2004. My partner in crime on these was director/writer Kyle Smith (Blue Iris Filmworks). All of these films were done on budgets of a few hundred dollars each, using consumer level video equipment and much creativity. They were edited and post processed using Apple's Final Cut Studio.
While I have largely moved out of the film editing business, I do try to keep my copy of Final Cut and editing skills current. I take on the occasional interesting editing projects as well as web design projects with digital video components. My most recent video project (Spring 2008) involves editing footage taken of the ancient Xiangtangshan caves in Hebei, China. The final versions of the film aspect should be appearing on the web soon.
